Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance Technician

Opportunity for an instrumentation and electrical technician to work predominantly days for one of South Wales' most reputable manufacturing companies. They have been based in the area for over 20 years and are part of a global group, with 40 manufacturing facilities across the world.

The role will report into the maintenance manager and work as part of a wider multi-skilled maintenance team being involved in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of all equipment on site.

As the instrumentation and electrical technician, responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to breakdowns and assisting in the delivery of a preventative maintenance programme
  • Accurately maintaining records within the computerised maintenance management system
  • Leading small improvement teams
  • Providing call-out cover

To be a successful instrumentation and electrical technician, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • A relevant time served apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and fault finding ability with PLC systems

In return, the instrumentation and electrical technician will receive a salary of £33,000 - £38,000 (dependent on experience - possibly a little more for the right person) + private healthcare, pension scheme, etc.
