Senior Quality Engineer

Opportunity for a senior quality engineer to work for a leading global company in their field who continue to grow by around 13% year on year. The company have a presence in 100+ countries globally and currently have plans to open an additional manufacturing site. This is a new role that they need to add to their team due to growth and increased workloads.

The role reports to the quality manager and will initially focus on dealing with customer issues, closing them out and putting in place corrective and preventative actions. Longer term the role will broaden to involve implementing actions to create long term improvements in manufacturing processes. The quality manager is happy to support their team with any internal and external training that is needed and will help to develop them for potential future progression within the business.

As the senior quality engineer your duties will include:

  • Being responsible for the customer complaints process including the investigation, analysis and testing of faulty products
  • Maintaining a complaints folder inclusive of test reports, work instructions, etc.
  • Working to implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Assisting with current quality and regulatory changes within the industry and the company's readiness for that
  • Contributing to internal audit processes
  • Supporting external audits

To be a successful senior quality engineer, you will need:

  • Previous experience of working within quality in a medical device / ISO:13485 accredited environment
  • Involvement in customer complaints processes
  • Knowledge of MDR and/or MDSAP
  • The ability to read engineering drawings
  • Hands on experience of conducting quality tests and using tools such as micrometers, verniers, etc.

In return, the senior quality engineer will receive a salary of £33,000-£38,000 (dependent on experience - possibly slightly more for the right person) + pension.

The company are also in the process of introducing a flexible employee benefits scheme. The working hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday with an early finish (8:30am-1:30pm) every other Friday
