The multi-skilled maintenance technician job is working with a leading manufacturing business who can offer a secure and stable working environment. Over the last decade, they have invested heavily in their South Wales plants and occupy an enviable position in the market. The culture is very friendly, and they have a large maintenance engineering team to interact with. Given the size of the business, there are excellent opportunities for career advancement and the company have an onsite learning & development team to facilitate training.

As a multi-skilled maintenance technician, your role will focus on lifting equipment maintenance; this includes: -

  • Maintenance of DC motors and drives
  • Working with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Conducting equipment inspections
  • Using data logging equipment to record faults

To apply for the multi-skilled maintenance technician position, you will need: -

  • A multi-skilled maintenance engineering background ideally with an electrical bias.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and drives/motors
  • Previous experience of lifting equipment would be an advantage.

In return, the multi-skilled maintenance technician will receive a salary of between £26,000 - £31,000, plus a 5% pension, holidays, cash healthcare plan and life insurance. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm. During shutdowns, there will be some requirement to work weekends. Shutdowns only happen twice per annum, and days off in the week are granted in return.
