Tool Setter

One of our most prestigious clients in Nottingham is looking for a pro-active Tool Setter to join their well established operation. They are looking for a technically minded individual who will take ownership of setting, running and maintaining the tools and machinery necessary for production.

Our client is an established and growing business in their sector providing amazing benefits to its employees. The Tool Setter's duties will include:

• Take full responsibility for setting mould processes, robot and tool changes. Ensuring this is carried out with optimal quality.
• Work collaboratively with the senior management to track production levels.
• Liaise with various areas of the company to prioritise the smooth running of stock materials in and out.
• Take ownership of the relevant machinery - this includes assisting with breakdowns and Health & Safety Management.
• Operate using LEAN manufacturing tools and techniques to make continuous improvements and to reduce waste.

The successful Tool Setter will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience in Injection Moulding Tool Setting or knowledge in engineering thermoplastics
• Experience of trouble shooting, problem solving, process set up, tool trials and set up optimisation is essential.
• You will require a proven history of efficient Machine Setting and Tool Changes.
• Organisation and time management needs to be demonstrated at all times.
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Pro-active and excellent team player
